UK Connect’s Founder, PJ Farr, will be Running the 2019 London Marathon for Marie Curie
We are very proud to announce that our Managing Director, PJ Farr, is running the London Marathon in April 2019 to raise money for Marie Curie, a charity which provides care and support for people with terminal illnesses and their families.
“Terminal illness, such as Cancer, affects all of us in some way, which is why I’ve chosen to run for this amazing organisation; their fantastic work continues to benefit an incredible amount of people and I want to give just a little bit back.”
PJ, who – among other things – is usually busy running around with the team ensuring our clients’ construction sites are quickly and efficiently connected to broadband, has started making time for training. He explains:
“Proper training began in December 2018, when I took part in the Hogs Back Road Race and completed the 11.4km run around the Loseley Estate – it has really built my momentum for the big day. The UK Connect team have been brilliant in terms of support and have also joined in on a few of my training sessions.”
This year’s London Marathon is taking place on Sunday 28th April 2019. PJ is working towards raising a total of £5,000, if you’d like to donate and follow PJ’s journey, head over to his JustGiving page.
