Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager at UK Connect is a client-facing predominantly field based role allowing full autonomy over your working day and diary. You will work with the UK’s largest house builders and contractors, so a confident, personable, tenacious individual is required.

You will actively seek out opportunities as well as being accountable for all incoming leads with a goal to qualify and convert them into viable sales for the business.

Through building genuine rapport with prospects you will gain a deep insight into their business goals and objectives helping you to identify effective solutions that solve their challenges and support their business.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall management and growth of the new business pipeline, ensuring all potential and new business clients receive a world class experience.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the sales pipeline
  • Develop strategies to engage and develop new business ensuring you build meaningful relationships with new accounts
  • Understand your customer business goals and objectives
  • Create and carry out new business engagement activates including but not limited to attending and speaking at industry events and conferences, pitching to new clients and leading on new business engagement activities
  • Create a best practice method for seeking out new business and customers challenges
  • Implement best practice customer experience strategies
  • Create new business opportunity analysis reports to identify gaps and opportunities

Measuring your success

At UK Connect we believe building meaningful customer relationships and providing a world class customer experience is key to our success. We therefore require our business development manager to fully immerse themselves in new client’s business, understanding their business setup, challenges and needs – ensuring a robust and through on-boarding process is developed and implemented. We know if we achieve high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction the financial rewards will follow.

This role would suit

An outgoing engaging individual who likes to build strong relationships though a variety of engagement activities, embedding themselves in a customer’s environment taking the time to understand their needs and challenges and working with them to find a solution. You may come from a similar Business Development role, selling into the construction sector, technology or even hospitality sector. You do not have to be tech savvy but be open and eager to learn and develop 

Remuneration

UK Connect offer a generous base salary along with a percentage of new business revenue for their first 12 months.
