OUR MD JOINED THE BRITISH ARMY
In 2008 our MD PJ Farr joined the British Army, and this is where Countrywide Telecoms began. Having always been an inquisitive soldier, he was fascinated at how the Army were able to deploy to some of the most remote locations in the world, yet maintain reliable secure connectivity.
COUNTRYWIDE TELECOMS IS FORMED
On the 25th of January 2013, after leaving the army, PJ Farr started Countrywide Telecoms with the clear vision to become the UK’s leading provider of communication services to the UK construction industry.
SITE CONNECT IS BORN
After many trials and tests, Countrywide Telecoms’ Site Connect solution was developed. The ingenious solution can provide connectivity to the construction industry on day 1 of install.
BECOMES A LEADING SUPPLIER OF COMMUNICATION TO THE UK CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
By 2016, Countrywide Telecoms are a leading supplier of communications solutions with partnerships to some of the largest UK house-builders secured. Industry leaders such as Redrow Homes, Linden Homes, Barratt Homes and Thames Valley Housing become clients and Countrywide’s customer base rapidly expands.
CONTINUING GROWTH AND SUCCESSFUL VENTURES
Countrywide Telecoms continue into 2017 with a growing audience, gaining partnerships with house-building giants such as Taylor Wimpey, and investing in new technology through Surrey University’s 5GIC.
COUNTRYWIDE TELECOMS REBRANDED AS UK CONNECT
Following the growth of the company, it was decided that it was necessary to rebrand from Countrywide Telecoms to UK Connect.
