UK Connect has welcomed new staff this month, and to implement the best on-boarding strategy decided to strengthen team relationships by embarking on a team-building day.
The event took place at the De Vere Hotel in East Horsley, Surrey, a stunning country mansion built in 1820, designed by the architect behind the iconic structure of the Houses of Parliament. The 19th century castle style building was contrasted with state-of-the-art presentation rooms, perfect for the UK Connect team-build day.
The day consisted of group problem solving and trust building activities. For the first half of the day the team were split into twos, and tasked with various exercises, aimed at building confidence between colleagues. Action Coach expert in business strategy engaged colleagues in conversation around the ambitions of individuals’ and the way the company works as a collective, with training on how best to communicate.
For the second half, MD PJ Farr conducted a company vision session, demonstrating his goals for the next year. PJ set out the company plan for the growth of client base and the focus on the continuing deliverance of high-rating customer service.
UK Connect has been recently recruiting in response to huge company growth caused by the popularity of their flagship broadband service, Site Connect. Site Connect has rapidly become the UK construction industry’s favoured and most-trusted internet connectivity solution, for building projects as well as sales and site office solutions post-build.
