UK Connect to climb 10 peaks in 10 hours, raising money for the Youth Adventure Trust.

We are excited to announce that we will be joining many of the UK’s leading housebuilders in the annual Housebuilder Challenge.

What is the housebuilder challenge?

On the 9th July 2021, the Youth Adventure Trust will host the Housebuilder Challenge, taking place in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. Teams from across the housebuilding and construction industries will put on their walking boots and take on the challenge of hiking ten peaks in ten hoursTeams will experience some of the most iconic mountains in Wales including Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales

Who are the Youth Adventure Trust?

The hike will raise funds for the Youth Adventure Trust followed by an evening celebrating achievements over dinner and drinks. The Youth Adventure Trust were founded in 1992 and they use outdoor adventure to empower young people to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. They help young people to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime. Over the past year, we have all come to understand how important being outdoors is for both our physical and mental health. We are proud to raise funds for a fantastic charity that uses the wonderful outdoors to inspire and encourage young peopleMore information about the Youth Adventure Trust, and the fantastic work that they do can be found here

Ready, Set, Train.

UK Connect are raring to go.

We are looking forward to what is set to be a fantastic day out in the open, all whilst raising funds for a very worthy charity. With less than two months to go, UK Connect have started to train for the challenge:

Ten peaks in ten hours is no walk in the park so I’ve been training as much as I can! I am really looking forward to spending a day with my team and seeing the fantastic views that the Brecon Beacons has to offer. This event provides us with a fantastic opportunity to meet other professionals in our industry, whilst at the same time raising money for a fantastic charity, the Youth Adventure Trust.
