UK Connect (previously known as Countrywide Telecoms) will be taking part in The world’s biggest coffee morning at our office in Guildford on Friday 29th September supporting Macmillan cancer support.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. We ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone we raised £29.5 million and this year we are aiming to raise even more. Macmillan’s world’s biggest coffee morning is taking place on Friday 29th September and here at Countrywide Telecoms, we can’t wait to join in and get baking.
The first-ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan.
Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause. One in three of us will face cancer, and the money you raise at your Coffee Morning will help us make sure no one has to face it alone.
We are hoping it will be a great morning of fun, with cakes and refreshments and raising funds for a great cause.
Your donations can make a big difference to those in need of support from Macmillan, There is often someone we all know affected by illness when Macmillan step in and offer much-needed support, not only to the individual but their families too.
Countrywide Telecoms will host the Coffee morning from 10 am to 1 pm in our office we will be offering Coffee and cake and feel free to bring along your own refreshments to.
