Meeting the challenge of Galliford Try’s remotest sites
Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading housebuilding and construction groups, places a high priority on keeping its sites connected at all times, even in the remotest locations.
This has presented us with real challenges over the years. For example, we were commissioned to provide broadband to five sites in north Scotland, each with between 120 and 350 employees. We were unable to use cables and only one site already had connectivity.
Following a detailed survey, we decided on a point to point solution that connected each site with superfast broadband, at a speed of up to 1Gbps – even those that were more than four miles from the broadband base station.
However extreme the location, we will always find a way to get customers online.
