UK Connect partners with Cradlepoint, part of Ericsson, and Nokia to bring cutting-edge 5G private networks to the UK Construction Sector and Defence

The collaboration will bring next-generation connectivity to UK businesses, enabling the digital transformation of a range of industries and ensuring that UK Connect’s customers are pushing the boundaries of the connectivity landscape. 

The partnership will find UK Connect utilising its expertise along with Ericsson’s 5G network technology and Nokia’s enterprise solutions to provide Cellular Connectivity, mobile networks, innovative applications and IoT capabilities. These private 5G networks will enhance security and ultra-low latency in industrial environments while also driving efficiency.

According to a recent report by Futuresource Consulting, the private 5G market is set to grow at an average rate of 35% per year between 2021 and 2027, reaching a value of $16bn (£12bn) by 2027. 

UK Connect will also capitalise on the growing demand for private cellular networks in specific industries such as construction and the Ministry of Defence (MoD). These private 5G networks will support smart processes in construction sites and improve communication and collaboration for MoD operations, offering significant cost savings and efficiencies.
