UK Connect welcomes Alex Wylie to the team

UK Connect are pleased to welcome Alex Wylie as a new Field Service Technician. As the business and our client base continues to grow, the requirement to expand the team has risen to ensure we maintain our high level of customer service and experience.

Alex brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous support engineer roles and will a great asset to the team. Alex is based in Glasgow and so will be supporting our Scottish customer base and is keen to get out on the road to ensure a high level of customer service and delivery. 

Alex said: “I joined UK Connect was because after almost a year of working within the sport and fitness industry I was looking to get back into the world of IT again. I left my previous IT position because I was looking to get more time out in the field so when the position of Field Service Technician came up I felt this was the kind of challenge I was looking for and with the company providing services predominantly to the construction industry it seemed like a great chance to work in an entirely new industry.”

We are thrilled to have Alex join our team. His skills and experience will be a great addition and help us to improve our customer experience for our Scotland based customers. Alex joined us just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and he has since done a fantastic job integrating into the organisation and has already proved to be a valuable member of the team.

Alex previously worked as a service and support engineer in the hospitality industry and was out on the road providing technical solutions and support to his customers. He is keen to get expand his skills in the technology industry and brings a high level of customer service to the team.

Interests in and out of work

When Alex isn’t working on you may find him gaming, watching football or tinkering around with cars.

I enjoy being part of UK Connect because everyone has been incredibly helpful and made me feel part of the team from day one. The service delivery team is full of great engineers and I look forward to working with and learning from them.
