UK Connect has just rounded up the biggest recruitment campaign to date and has welcomed nine new members to the team. Each new-starter is armed with expertise in their field and are raring to go, having just completed our onboarding academy. As the business and our client base continues to grow, the requirement to expand the team has risen to ensure we maintain our high level of customer service and experience.
Every new starter is enrolled on our Onboarding Academy as a standard at UK Connect. Recruits are grouped together to kickstart their journeys on the same day and learn all there is to know about UK Connect together, from Managing Directors PJ Farr’s inspiring startup story to the ins and outs of every department. This enables new starters to hit the ground running and develop a deeper understanding of every aspect of the business from the core and throughout, together as a team.
Every recruit has been carefully selected based not only on their talent and professional experience but their enthusiasm and amazing personalities. We are confident that they’ll make fantastic additions to the UK Connect team.
Brett has joined our team of technical professionals and has brought with him experience in designing and implementing connectivity solutions all the way out in South Africa to challenging sites, both geographically and logistically. He will design, plan and implement secure and scalable network solutions for exciting projects.

A surprising fact about Brett is that he represented South Africa in canoeing and surf ski. He also has a passion for technology, cars and nature.
Cory will oversee the Service Desk function, ensuring our customers get the industry-leading experience that UK Connect has to offer. Cory has nine years of experience working at Barratt Developments PLC, the UK’s largest housebuilder, leading a team of technical analysts in implementing, deploying and managing the company’s remote sales and site offices.

In his spare time, Cory enjoys flying planes but has quite literally landed himself in tricky situations on multiple occasions after having to execute numerous aborted and emergency landings.
Jules will be overseeing all stock, assets and inventory, making sure all equipment is available when needed for installations and call-outs. She has almost ten years of experience within Supply Chain and Inventory which she will bring to UK Connect.

Outside of work, Jules loves spending time with her granddaughter, attending concerts and has an impressive collection of over 100 red lipsticks.
Joe will be turning customer challenges into success stories by designing innovative network solutions as a Network Solutions Engineer. Having spent the last six years as a wireless technology specialist, he has wealth of experience in designing connectivity solutions that deliver business-critical applications to the end-user.

In his free time, Joe is a passionate Manchester United fan, he loves his family, wife and kids and keeps fit by running almost every day.
Neil is responsible primarily for ensuring the service deployment team are well catered for, are adding value to the business and its customers and are safe and happy in their work as Service Delivery Manager. He’s bringing his experience in Project Deployment Management to the table having worked in a similar previous role focused on providing In-Building 4G voice services.

In his personal life, Neil has three daughters and almost six grandchildren and enjoys it when all four generations converge for a BBQ or family event.
Kate will be strengthening and growing relationships with our clients, providing them with communication solutions as a Key Account Manager. She has years of experience in customer service and always works hard to put any wrongs to right, keeping her customers happy.

Outside of work, Kate loves weight training, her children and holidays to as many Greek islands as she possibly can.
Lisa will support the Finance Manager with day to day tasks in the financial department. She has seven years experience in a similar role overseeing credit control, performing reconciliation of bills and account systems as well as processing invoices, which she will utilise in her new role at UK Connect.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys baking, reading and hiking. She also loves music and used to star in an ABBA tribute band.
Dean will be supporting internal and external users using a multitude of systems across UK Connect. Throughout his career, Dean has built up experience in a multitude of areas from building and developing networks to implementing ITSM tools. He also has experience as an infrastructure engineer supporting Cisco hardware which will come in handy in his new role.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys driving to explore new places around the UK and has completed the North Coast 500 road trip. He’s also an avid fan of technology including electric vehicles and green infrastructure.
Rajan will the be first port of call for anyone experiencing technical difficulties both internally and externally. He comes from a computing background having just completed a degree in Computer Science, Rajan will be using the skills he learnt at university to come up with a solution for any problem thrown his way.

In his spare time Rajan enjoys travelling to different destinations across the world as it gives him the opportunity to experience a wide variety of cultures and meet new people. He also loves video games and it is what started his passion for IT and computing.
